Eastern Tiger Swallowtail

(Papilio glaucus)

The tiger swallowtail is a large, conspicuous butterfly that is easily seen near the main entrance to Anderson Prairie in mid-summer. A variety of trees are used as larval host plants, including several found in Anderson Prairie Park.
